1.  You eat at a restaurant and give the waiter your card. Waiter goes to the cash
               register, AND WRITES DOWN YOUR NUMBER ON PAPER and takes home.
               Then free to use.

          2.  You buy a product at a store. You charge it and leave. The cashier WRITES
               DOWN YOUR  NUMBER ON PAPER and takes home.

          3.  You place an order on the phone with your credit card. You give the number to the
               person (that  you don't know who-where they are) and charge it. After you hang up,
               they WRITE DOWN  YOUR NUMBER ON PAPER and take home. Further,
               your phone conversations on portable  phones are easily heard by your neighbors.

          4.  In all of these scenario's, your card is swiped through the zon and the numbers are
               transmitted OVER THE INTERNET on a PHONE LINE Conneted by MODEM.

          5. Your credit card statements are in your mailbox and trash can. Are they secure?

          When your online order is submitted by a form or email, it is broken up into little 
          bits   of     information and all bits are sent over different routes and end up at the 
          destination where they are reassembled at the vendors server. This is much safer.

          Legal Protections:
          1. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank can not hold you liable for more than
               $50.00 of fraudulent charges.
          2. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit 
              card provider in  accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
